Barbara Cartland and me!

Okay, I know the Queen of Romance has passed on, but I am proud to say I have connected with her in some small way.
A while ago, I noticed that my free sci-fi romance novella, The Catch, had been pirated and was up at this one site. I asked for it to be taken down, but along the way, I noticed that one of  Barbara Cartland's books was up there also, for a free download.
I did what most romance writers would do. I contacted the estate and warned them.
Dame Barbara Cartland's son, who manages the literary part of the estate, responded with a thank you, and after  a few emails, he offered to send me one of his mother's books!
I was thrilled. Any romance writer my age who grew up loving the genre can honestly say she cut her teeth on Cartland books. They were adventurous, fun, romantic and most importantly, Ms Cartland was prolific!  We gobbled up her books like ice cream. And I hear there are many more unpublished works! You can read this good news here.
Well, today, I received the book and just in time. Tomorrow, we're headed to the beach and A Flight To Heaven is going with me.
Don't worry, I'll take good care of it. This book is very special to me.

A Flight To Heaven.
